Default XJ Sliders???

Ok guys, so over Easter we took the XJ into the Flinders and had a ball. Luckily i have a steel ARB Bar and this saved me on one occasion when i dropped into a big rocky hole... backed it up and only had some scratched barwork instead of a crumpled front!

This has driven home the point that a good pair of sliders would be a handy investment and I was wondering what others have used...

I recall a member had a thread where he was looking at making two styles and am keen to include a side step if possible.

Are there any 'off the shelf' options or am i going to have to get friendly with a fabricator?

Default XJ Sliders???

Iron rock offroad make some. A lot of members have fabbed their own up. I think one was offering IRO similar sliders for a small fee.

I like the latter of the two personally and wouldn't mind trying to fab a set up myself

I have the latter ones on my 96. I love the look and they are sturdy as anything.

The only negative, which seemed important for about 15 minutes, is that because they bolt the main box section to the pinch seam- the front edge of the sliders sits further out from the body than the rear. I don't notice it at all now, it was just annoying at first because I thought it was a defect - not an obvious consequence to the design.
