If its the rear case, its quite easy to remove the back half.. if its the front, the whole case needs to come out.. if its the rear half, pull the rear driveshaft and flange and the bolts around the back of the case.. do not remove the bolts around the rear flange, this is an oil pump that is mated to the case.. if its the front half, remove both driveshafts and both flanges, remove shifter cable and then all the bolts mating the case to the transmission.. the top bolts are a bit of a pain but not that bad

Personally, i'd just remove the case complete. Its not a big job especially if you have a mate to help slide it out.

As Warnabrother says a couple of the bolts at the top are restricted access.

You have to be over 18 to remove the top bolts!?

Or do you need to have security clearance?

Where is your fuel tank mounted? Maybe your build is different from Australia?

No.... drop the tailshafts,. disconnect the shift cable, range plug and breather, undo the ring of bolts holding the TCase to the gearbox and side it out backwards.

Four hands just spread the load when sliding it out and then back.
