Default Th700r4 swap

Hi all,

Hoping someone will have taken this path before me.

I've currently a 03' auto TJ. Pretty heavily modified.

Love the auto, love the over drive esp in the 4.88s! however don't love the 42rle so much

Looking at heavier duty options. The TH700r4 seems like a solid option.

I'm wondering if anyone has gone down a slimiest route? Or even know a shop that could knock out such a conversion? I know the yanks have a few adapters I could import.

Thanks for any comments

I have looked into it a few times in the past for others,
Most end up going with the AW340.

Yep AW4.
T700 is a huge mod hey, off the top of my head, you will have to move the CKP to the harmonic balancer, adaptor for eng-trans, adaptor for trans-t/case - including modified output shaft for the T700, shifters - trans obviously and I think the t/case will need to go cable shift as well, cross member, driveshafts, custom convertor.......
then you will have to deal with the pcm as well.

AW4 from xj, you can get all the parts locally, no adaptors needed.
