Default Rear Tail lights JK 2011

Hey Everyone,

Hope you had a nice Easter

Rookie Question : - Both my Left and Right rear tail lights are working but the brake light on both does not. Is it just the bulb or something more sinister?

TIA

Cameron

Is your third brake light working? If not, it could be the brake switch.

It is, apologies for the rookie question. Where is the brake switch.

You say the centre high mounted brake light is working, so it won't be the brake switch (found high up on the arm of your brake pedal btw).
First check would be the taillight/brake globes. Just remove the innermost two screws (of four total screws) on the taillight assembly and the unit comes out for access to the globes.
