Default Out Of Warranty Letter

I received a letter the other day from FCA reminding me the Jeep will be out of warranty in a few weeks time and to arrange an appointment with local dealership to discuss what options are available. Anyone had similar? Just another scam to take out extended warranty?

I received something similar back in 2018 - I round filed it in the recycling bin.

Normally I avoid extended warranties, but FWIW:

I bought my car used and took out an extended warranty, albeit a third party one and not FCA. I did hesitate, but it's been the best investment so far. Paid $1200 for the warranty and have made two claims totaling $2147, still have a year left to run on it. The claims? $900 for thermostat job and $1247 for a new a/c condenser. Given the prices for Jeep parts and repairs I'm glad I took it out. All I'm required to do is have the car serviced every 6 months which I do anyway (doesn't have to be dealer servicing).

You could thank them for the reminder.. and then book this...

Make sure your vehicle is in tip top shape before the warranty runs out. After that, if your mechanically minded, i would buy replacement and service parts at Rockauto and save $1000's.... You dont have to get those expensive dealer service and tunes anymore... chill out, have a beer and swap your own filters out for 1/10 of the cost..

Cheers,
