Viscous clutch fan time - Need some clarification

Hey guys,

Just had a quick question - my viscous fan has had it, overheats even with the a/c fan engaged and I can free spin the fan at least a couple of rotations with the engine off, hot or cold. I'm ready to buy a replacement, but I recall a few years back I was looking into it and there was all this talk about how you need a clockwise or counter clockwise rotating clutch fan depending on what your specific Jeep uses. I don't believe anyone had any specific identifiers as to who has to use what, ie; this year uses this, that year uses that, or anything of the sort.

Where would you buy your clutch fan replacement from? What rotation will I need? Or how can I determine what I need? I run a 1995 XJ, 4.0 petrol, bog stock everything.

Get from Rockauto,
Bolts straight on and is a cooling upgrade.
It's the ZJ clutch upgrade for the XJ.

Interested to hear if you guys fitted your clutch fan upgrades and if it helped the cooling.
Its 40C in Perth today.. that will be a good test for my XJ cooling system and fan upgrade.
The only work i have had to do on mine the last week is just to nip up the bolts on the rear diff cover.

Funny you should bring this up Alex it was only yesterday I decided to look up my amazon order no tracking? I ended up finding out it hasn't even shifted and I ordered in early January when I got back from Brisbane so I cancelled it
Now that rockauto is shipping to Australia again I ordered another one today so I will comment in a few weeks
