We tend to forget about our automatic transmissions when thinking of servicing our Jeeps. You hear terms like "Life Time" fluid fills, etc from sales people, but even the youngest KJs are now over 14 years old (last ones were built at end of April 2007), it is important to include the transmission in your inspection and service routine.

I encourage folks to have a look at this thread. Your transmission might not require this service but it is an important piece of intellectual property provided by Ausjeep (and me), and could save you a very expensive rebuild or swap.
The thread linked applies to the 545RFE as found in the CRDs, and more widely in Jeep Grand (Hemi's) and other Chrysler vehicles.
