Default Centre console CD player. WTF?

Has anybody got a WK2 without the stupid CD player in the centre console? I'm probably going to order my GC end of week and after talking to dealer about how stupid and space consuming the CD player is, and the fact we have to order ours, can we order it without the CD player. He seems to think he has seen some without it so maybe.

Can anybody confirm this?

I don't know what spec level your is but the Laredo MY14 does not have a CD player. I would love one though, is there a kit available?

I've heard of owners ordering the parts to remove the CD player and just have a full sized tub. There were some threads on it a year or 2 back. i'll have to dig.

How times have changed. Once upon a time it was the bomb to have one.

I miss the Sat radio the have in the states, continuous music 24/7, anytime, anywhere

when I ordered my Limited it wasn't an option to remove it. I did however remove it 2 weeks after I got it. The storage is huge without the CD player in there. If you need the part number I will have a look. was an easy conversion.

Thanks Starion. Benn0 posted part number above. Looks pretty easy to do. Will still push the dealer to see if he can get it done at time of manufacture, otherwise my list of extras I need to install has grown again.
