Firstly welcome to our great forum! JimmyB does a fantastic job here. I was looking at your profile and noticed you have a KJ 2.5 Turbo Diesel. You're the first here with the new TD. Give us your views on it. How's the economy, accleration etc etc....Enquiring minds want to know. OK mainly mine!

Bought the KJ deisel in June 02 primarily to tour outback Aussie, did our first trip into NSW thru Broken Hill and upward, towing a camper trailer, about 600kg, with enough food and water for 10 days touring. Also had wife and dog and 3way fridge, used 12-12.5 litres per 100 kms., when I'm using the Jeep for part time work fully loaded with ladders and tools I use 10.5l/100kms around suburban Melbourne, and just highway driving with wife and dog aboard I use 9.5l/100kms. I believe these figures are quite good when compared with other diesels. The Jeep is still standard but I hope to add a Bypass oil filter in the near future. Oh! I forgot to mention I ALWAYS drive with the aircon turned on.
