Default Rear recovery point

Guys I need to sort out a rear recovery point on the jeep. I need it for the Sunrise Park 4wd comp in a couple of weeks.

I've got an ARB rear bar with spare wheel carrier on order but I need some sort of rear recovery point in the mean time.

I was thinking of just getting a rated recovery hook and using high tensile bolts fixing it to the left rear chassis rail. Will that be good enough??

MattC,

I'm guessing you rmust have atleast drilled the 2nd or even both holes to mount the hook on the chassie rail? I looked uner mine over the weekend to do the same thing and there are no pre drilled holes suitable. Also did you drill through both sides of the chassie rail?

EJ - Left hand side at the rear chassis..... I will have to drill a hole to match up with the one that's already there. I am not sure if I'll put both on the rear because this is just a temporary measure until the ARB rear bar and tyre carrier is available in Perth (also there's not as much room on the other side)....... on that note, has anyone over east got one yet????
