Replaced what computer with what? The KJ has an ECM which has to be programmed with the VIN of the car or else it won't run - very far. As far as i know only Jeep dealers can program VINs into ECMs with the equipment they have, and they don't do it unless you buy the ECM from them at $$$$$$. There are other modules such as the BCM (Body Control Module), TCM (transmission control modulke), etc which sit on the wiring bus.
If you start the car in park how long will it run before stopping?

Is the immobiliser light on or off? To run the engine for more than a couple of seconds, the ECM, SKIM, and key must match electronically, either by reprograming or substitution. I did this a couple of weeks ago by substitution. Runs perfectly.

Lenny, any ideas how the locksmith reprogrammed the immobiliser? Could be getting a bit deep for my current level of knowledge.
