Hey peoples need some help. I'm currently looking at buying a 2.8wrangler 07/08 second hand. I love everything about them but have had a lot of people talk me out of buying 1. How unreliable are they can some 1 please set me straight ,.. All help appriatiated.

Let me guess, the people who are trying to talk you out of buying one own either a Landcruiser or a Patrol.

Well it depends on what you want from a vehicle really, nothing wrong with a good fullsized 4x4 if you need one.

Not at all :)

Well my CRD is going well. Only problem has been a blown intercooler pipe.

If you want one, then buy one. They're no better or worse than other makes in my opinion.

My son has a 2008 JK CRD Unlimited and loves it. I drive a KJ 2.8CRD (basically the same engine) and I can recommend it. The engine pulls like a train and crawls along through things when you would have to rev the guts out of a petrol. Yes, the engine has some things that need to be watched (get yourself a Provent, and you might want to get the turbo hoses and intercooler checked out if your buying second hand).
