Beauty being in the eye of the beerholder - toss a tick in the box of 'paradise lost' for me will ya? Has now been over-developed and lost its idyllic atmosphere. But hey, that's just me.

depends on the area i love hastings street has been over developed for years but its one of the few places i know i can get a cappachino and 2 doors up is a great walk out to a headland in national park you can have dinner in outside seating and watch a koala wonder up the street
the rest of noosa i agree with the others

Still laughing at Army Barbie's comment!

Adore Noosa ... although it has to be the most expensive place on earth. Superb boutiques (one even keeps it beautiful massive iron doors locked & you are only permitted entry if you are of the right ilk or known to the owner).

Traffic is a nightmare, parking is worse, but sitting in a 5 star restaurant on the sand metres from the water makes up for it.

One of the very few places in Oz where real estate doubles in value every 5 years and why is that I hear you ask? Because it's where all the "beautiful people" live of course.

Noosa is magnificent. The national park is fantastic, and the coastline is well worth protecting. You can never describe Noosa as dull. If you do then I don't think you get it.
However, the pretentious people, businesses, and general built environment are absolutely revolting, and yes, dull.

Noosa....mmm isn't this where all the Happy Boys go after Mardi Gras to chill out ? I heard Noosa has the second highest, after Sydney, Happy Boy population in Aus. Might be good for Noosa's economy but I wouldn't want to live there. It's a matter of demographics when raising children. But that's just my opinion.
