Unhappy Sad News

Hello Jeep lovers,
Sadly I wrote off my KJ a couple of weeks ago. This is the brief description: I was heading south on a (wet from recent rain) freeway (110kph) when a tip truck and trailer pulled out from a road on my left trying to get to the north bound lanes. This rig just blocked both my lanes and collision was unavoidable. I don't know how much speed I washed off under brakes but it was skidding on the wet so maybe 10-20 kph. I walked away with just sternum compression bruising and hamstring strain to right leg much to the amazement of myself and people first on the scene. A testament to the Jeeps crumple features and airbags or just damn lucky?

So I still have the rear (cloth) seats in excellent condition and the twin jerry can tow bar attachment (CRD owners only) PM expressions of interest.

Here's some photos.

Sorry to hear that but glad you are fairly unscathed. She did withstand a significant impact on that vulnerable corner which lets lots of vehicles down.
WOW. I feel safe in my choice. Hey, to knock the dog ass-over it was one heck of a collision.
All the best to you.

good to see youare ok. it certainly held up well. I've seen many SUV's come off alot worse than that. not too much deformation of the A pillar and roof line. did the drivers door open ok?
