I should of read the OP before unzipping my pants

but serioulsy, working at a dealer in parts (non jeep) its not uncommon for lengthy wait on parts we've had some fan speed resistors or order from last may and they arrived Monday just gone, that is an extreme B/O length. Our average B/O is 1-3 months for Holden

But just dont go thinking its only Jeep who do it

Im surprised tho, that an automotive dealer would not recommend replacing both springs and shocks to ensure, even/equal suspension performance ...

I will be asking for a new spring once the shock arrives.

Based on the June 1st guess maybe it isn't really too long a wait for a part from Singapore...

Trouble is with that is not the dealers who wont do it its the manufacturer who wont pay to have done, in their eyes a good shock is getting replaced for nothing.
We have a manufactuer here who class a wet shock normal (its called misting) as long as the oil isnt running down the body, thing is when does the misting stop, when its out of oil of course after the warranty has expired.

They don't front strut replaced under warranty on Ford focus and i mentioned i thought they should do both. The answer was oh no that is'nt covered under warranty so will just be doing the one. A smart man would have run a smear of oil down the other one to make it look like that shock was leaking too, especially as the warranty period is almost up!
