Default Wheel Alignment Specs

Hi all, I am hoping to get a good idea of what my wheel alignment specs should be. I have searched this and the US forum and the information is not necessarily conclusive. I have an unlimited diesel with a 2.5" lift in the front. I now have adjustable lower control arms. My specs were 3 deg of castor, 0 deg toe, right and left. I only have standard 31.5" tyres but will be upgrading to 33". I have read that 6-8 deg of castor is needed, however that is from the US and generally refering to a 3 - 4 " lift with 35" tyres. I have also read that the larger the lift, the more castor needed, and the larger the tyre the more castor needed. I do not have a large lift, or large tyres.
Ideas, suggestions and experience welcome. Facts are helpful to?
Thanks
Tom

Hi Tom

i have a diesel unlimited with a 3.5 lift running 285/70/17s my castor is 7deg now is good at that. another member here who i work with is running even more with the 255/17s and is wrapped as he had wobble problems before.

i've done 45000k in mine travelling to the corner country and tassie from brissy and it's been great.

i'm running black diamond upper and lower superlift arms. when supplied the instructions give measurement for both arm. the bottom one is the one the adjustment came from and the top was about the same measruement as the standard arm even though it is adjustable.

hope this helps. i don't think personnally the tyre size makes a difference

cheers

Steve
