Default New looker

Hi all,
I'm in the market for a new/nearly new Grand Cherokee specifically for towing a caravan. Have mostly been impressed with the Jeep so before the big decision I thought I'd better check out what other users have found.

Look forward to contributing when I have something worth while saying.

Cheer

Hello Bazza,
I have a WH GC with the 3.0 CRD V6 and tow my Jayco camper ( around 1600 KG ) and it does the job beautifully, I have spoken to a few grey nomads with a similar set up towing full size vans and they have all have nothing but positive comments.
The only recommendation I would make is to fit after market suspension to lift it a little and to firm it up a bit as I found the original set up a bit soft, I have gone with OME 2' from ARB, others have gone with king springs and Bilstein shocks, some have fitted air bags in the rear ( which I will do when I get a full size van), nearly all that I have spoken to who have not done anything to the suspension says that they need to do something to stiffen it up a bit and stop the rear end sag. I think my ARB bill was around $1600 or $1800 fitted.
What neck of the woods are you in?
Hope this is of help.
Regards Ross

Hi Ross,
Thanks for the response - as you can see I found out how to edit my personal details/profile.
I've heard from a few owners about the need for air bags in the rear and it does make sense.
Some have said they don't need a WDH with the air bags, but to me that doesn't make sense. Mind you I'm open to hearing both for and against WDH.
