WK2 red alarm light on
Hi All
I had some electrical work done on my 2012 WK2 and when I got it back the circular red alarm light stays on solid red whenever the car is running. (the one in the lower part of the speedo dial on the instrument cluster.
Any ideas what I can do to turn it off please!

Bumping this one to see if anyone can help?
I read somewhere that this happens if the key remote has a low battery. I've changed batteries in both but the light is still on all the time
Any thoughts?
Cheers

Throw us a pic of it and what exactly did the sparky do ???
The red circle type light depicts a brake drum and has a symbol in the middle which denotes which brake malfunction, so throw a picof it.

Finally managed to get a pic! It's not the brake warning light.
Single red led on left instrument cluster (the security one that blinks when car is locked)
The light stays on solid all the time
Took it in for an oil change and the mechanic thought that auto electrician may have spliced into a security system wire when fitting brake controller and LED light bar? He also fitted a battery protector
Any thoughts? Planning to take it back to the sparkie
Cheers!

If the sparky spliced into the wiring harness to fit brake controller then its possible as thats a No, No. it can cause all sorts of problems........ what do you call a battery protector, something that monitors battery condition could be seen by the BCM even when shut down.

Thanks Drover. I'll make sure they check. I took it to a reputable auto elec that specialises in fitting brake controllers so you'd hope they'd do the right thing is there specific instructions for fitting brake controllers to WK2's? I have a 2012 Overland with dealer fitted MOPAR towbar.
They recommended a low voltage battery protector to avoid the fridge/caravan from flattening the Jeep battery.
Excuse my ignorance.... BCM?
Thanks again!
