Default Calling all JK drivers running 33's

Ok here's the scoop, my father in law has bought a JK Unlimited and wants to do some mods, I told him that 33's would be sweet, so now I need some ammo to show him what the JK looks like running 33's and what mods you have done. Brand names of lift kit would be very helpful.

Oh yeah and what sort of handling affects have you experienced going bigger, good and bad!

Thanks in advance

legaly to go to 33's you need:
Wider wheels with more offset ($300 each times 5 = 1500)
Wider flares to cover the tyres(bushwackers = 1400)
and minimum 2"inch lift for no scrubbing when offroad. (800 fitted?)

which would cost around 5 grand including a good set of muddies...

there is one guy in America who put the XENON flat fenders on and runs stock suspension with longer bumpstops and 36inch boggers... haha looks awesome!!

I don't want a discussion regarding legalities.

So the idiots at Jeep still didn't figure out that half the buyers put larger tyres on, and didn't put rims on with a suitable offset, boneheads!!

So disregarding rim width, 33's on stock rims (16s, 17s or 18s) will scrub like a bastard on full lock??

Why not try some Cooper ST's in a 255/85R16 will fit under the guards, just over 33' rolling and LT construction so a better ride, sturdier side wall will fit on standard rims and probably won't have the same rubbing issues...

C'mon there's got to be a few running 33's and a lift that can give real world experiences with the JK

Theres a couple of locals running 33x12.50r17 and they experienced only minor rubbing prior to fitting lifts.
