I have a 2013 Grand Cherokee which is actually the MY14 model. (With the new headlights, etc)
Whenever I'm chasing quotes for parts or whatever and people ask for the year I say 2013 but they always bring up the older model first. (I think Jeep sold the older ones early 2013 and changed to the newer ones late 2013)
What is the best and most definitive way to describe which model I have so I get the right parts?
Should I just say it is 2014?
I have an earlier 2013 and when needing parts etc. always refer to model year MY13 (which ran from Oct '12 - Jul '13) not the build date. It's best to do that for any year that had a model change part way through. MY14's began in mid 2013.
