Default Dash lights blowing fuse, no high beam flash, indicators erratic. Connected?

So I have the following symptoms.
Dash lights blow the fuse. Pulling back on light stalk to flash high beams doesn't work and switches off lights. I also have erratic indicators - sometimes don't work, other times flash quickly.
If i replace the headlight switch (the one with the knob) would this likely fix all of the above?
Is the indicator/ high beam stalk assembly connected through the headlight switch part or are they completely separate?
These things haven't bothered me but I need to get a RWC so gotta be done!
Advice please!

Does the fuse blow under a certain circumstance or is it random? ie always when turning lights on, when you hit a bump, switching high to low?

When you pull back on high beam the low beam will turn off. I'm guessing if you flick high beam again lights come back on? That could be fuse, relay, switch or wiring.

What erratic behavior are the indicators exhibiting? Do the flash quickly, not at all or other? Does the same happen to hazards?

There may be a relation between the three faults but is need to study a schematic diagram to see. I don't think the headlight switch will fix the problem.

Dash light fuse blows straight away... that started when I fitted my head unit though. The illum wire on the head unit or not connected and isolated did the same thing...

The stalk switch making the headlights go off when you flash high beam by pulling back has always been dodgy, like 3 years ago.

The indicators starting to flash erratically or not at all has only been a recent thing, yesterday. It makes a little buzz sometimes... I haven't driven it for a couple of weeks so thought maybe as it's been sitting it got dusty.

I just thought they might be on the same circuit like the high beam flash goes thorough the switch then to the fuse/ relax or whatever makes it work. I could look up a wiring diagram myself but I may as well be looking at a plate of spaghetti...

As a guess without proper testing I would say,

Dash lights sounds like a short to earth between switch and relay/lights (not sure of wiring layout) I would look at harness around headunit for a pinched, cut, rubbed wire.

High beam possibly the switch/stalk. Can you bridge the high beam relay and get the lights to turn on?

Indicators sounds like flasher unit. Could be a bit of dust or possibly corrosion but couple of weeks isn't too long. I'd find the flasher unit, pull the cover off and clean it out.
