Default Dash Cam wiring

Hi all, hoping someone can throw up some pictures or diagrams regarding removing the Hard plastic trims along the side roof lining and also the internal trim above the cargo opening so I can run the lead coming out of the Front camera feeding to the rear camera in through the convoluted tube already there bridging the Tailgate and body, also how difficult is it removing the A-Pillar trims, I got Plastic trim removal tools, just don't want to crack or distort any of the Trim Panels, Cheers

Hey bloke, your post is looking lonely. Both left and right trim in the cargo sidewalls to the roof is easy and no need to pull the rear door trim off to get to the factory rear camera wires for whatever you want to achieve. I had the dealer after fit camera (Laredo) so camera wiring to cut into, bridge, relay etc is all just behind the Drive Side under Cargo window. My earlier post has some pics to easy identify the wires and colour codes and helped by Steve Barbuto as was the first post with dealer wiring. Now Steve did an way earlier very good tutorial on the factory camera wiring which was in the left rear lower area so you have to work out which side is for you. For side wall trims, I just break open from passenger door side and had off a couple of times with no breaking. Hope this helps. Yep I did the whole wiring tracking and cargo door off thinking I had to interface at rear camera in door, but what a waste of time when you can access just the left or right panels. hope this helps and I used a large screwdriver to brute force the big tabs and no damage. Now for A pillar trim pieces, they come off easy and no breaking. Just be aware of running wires over the bags so as not to interfere and your good to go.

Hey there Oldmate,

Did you get this sorted?
I just pulled the rubber liner off from around the front passenger door and rear passenger door, i was then able to slide the wire into the roof lining and down the pillar, got to be carefull that you don't inhibit the curtain airbag.
Around the cargo area i was able to push the wire into the roof cavity between the plastic trim and cloth without removing it, I was able to unplug the rubber liner protecting the wiring loom where it tansitions to the door and using a 500mm cable tie was able to fish the cable through, bit fiddly but relatively easy to do. Actually for all fishing activities in the car I find the 500mm cable tie works really well.
I also hard wired it, i placed the module in the cavity under the cup holder, popped off the cover at the side of the glove box/ pillar and fished the wire behind the glove box, was able to pull off the side trim to get to the centre console area. Easy to get permanent power from the battery to here and i just ran a seperate wire from the fuse box back to the module for the key activated accessory and I think you can see in the photo where i got the earth from, had to change that bolt though as the OEM one was heavily painted.
