With the frequent rain and winds we are getting in North East Vic it may be a good idea to carry a chain saw [with an adequate amount of fuel and bar oil] to clear away fallen trees and large branches. I would never go anywhere in the scrub without mine.

Hey Turbomart,

The Adelaide Jeep Club went there 12 months ago and had a great time!!

We stayed at Swifts Creek Campground and travelled on the Haunted Stream Track, then travelled to Dargo and travelled the Billy Goats Bluff track as well as a few others!!

Trip report and pics can be seen here: http://www.adelaidejeepclub.com/repo...ry_Jan2009.htm

Have a great Trip,

John.

Billy Goat is a must, all the way to the fire tower, as well as Crooked River and Bulltown Spur (plenty of river crossings, so check depth), if you can get a bit further north, Blue Rag is an iconic Vic high country track.
Good camping at Talbotville, but might be a bit busy!
