Post SOFT TOP INSTALL - 2012 JK (2 door)

As Summer is right around the corner I am looking to take off my hard top and put on the soft top. Only there is one problem...
- After only recently purchasing the jeep, the soft top has never been used or assembled and is currently still in the box. Therefore I am unsure where to start. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers

It's not too bad. Take it out of the box and it will make sense. First step is to install door surrounds. You will need a torx or Allen key to screw the top to the rollbar. If it is your first time do it on a hot day and let it sit in the sun for a while. Leave the sides until last, it's all pretty self explanatory once you have it all out of the boxes.

Leave it in the sun AFTER you start to put the soft top on not before you take the hardtop off, I had it sorting in the sun while I was waiting for assistance and they get farking hot.

Mine was missing parts as well, lost over the years by the first two owners. Luckily I checked it all out before I took the hardtop off and ordered the bits I needed, all in all pretty easy to fit though and self explanatory once you unpack it.

Cheers

It happens through not quite knowing where to store stuff i think... I have the top itself, a huge box with other bits, 2 smaller boxes with bits, a large plastic bag with bits, a smaller plastic bag with bits and a vinyl bag for the two front roof sections - the whole lot is scattered through my garage...
