Question Spring - HeyFever

k so.

basically i get heyfever in the best of times, now it's spring it's going going to get worse...

what do you guys do to stop heyfever's? or do you do any thing to prevent getting hey fever sneezes??

anything is helpful. me personally i take a little pill called "Polaramine" and it's good but it's drowsy as. works a treat but leaves me sleepy, but i'm after preventatives. not 'fixes' once i'm sneezing!

so what do you do?

I know it's a bit late but in the winter take a good regular does of horse radish and garlic pills. I always thought this was a load of "####" but I had nothing to loose as my hay fever was so bad I've been hospitalized with it twice. Been doing that for 3 years now and have never been better, I can actually take a Clayentye and I will pretty well do me for the day. I used to be so bad that on certain days I couldn't go out side.

Sadly if you're affected by this, there's not a lot you can do to stop it. Not even a bag of cement will help. For those of you not affected, consider yourselves lucky.
For the first 30 years of my life I wasn't affected, but in the last 20years, every Sept to November is a nightmare particularly as I enjoy the outdoors. The dryer the conditions, the worse it seems to be.

After many years of trying different things, the last couple of years I started using Rhinocourt Nasal spray with some success. Available from all major chemists or here - www.pharmacydirect.com.au
Started using this beginning of August to build up the immunity in my nasal passages. But different remedies are going to work or not work for different people.

The latest natural remedy I stumbled across is Chilli Spray. I haven't tracked it down yet, but understand you can get it from selected pharmacies that may have a naturopath attached. Again hearsay only at this stage, but understand that Chilli Spray kills the senses in the nasal passages, burns like hell for the day, but worth the pain as you then are not affected by hayfever for the rest of the season. Will see if I can find more info.
