Default Diesel Filling issue

gday All

Does anyone know if there has been a recall on the issue of slow filling for the diesel ?

If not has what changes have been made to rectify the issue ?

It really is starting to pee me off. I always have to find a Caltex to fill up otherwsie I fill up thinking of calm blue oceans lol.

No recall and no definite fix as far as I know, mine does it where ever I go including Caltex which is a bit weird. I find pulling the bowser out a bit so you can see the flow / froth coming back up and just control the flow accordingly to keep it going. Thinking of calm blue oceans good technique also!!

I'm sure there will be a official fix from Jeep soon, mine is going to the dealer in a week or two will see what they have to say about it.

folks there is a fix for this, but not by chrysler as yet. STEVIL, who is on this forum, removed the filler hose entirely from the tank to the filler neck. replaced it with 32mm inside diameter rubber type fuel hose (bit loose onend and bit tight other end) and secured it with two hose clamps. installed it so there was abit of a gradient from the filler neck to the tank spout. total cost less than $20.00. has done over 2000kms since then and has acheived full pump flow on every fill. if you're sick of waiting for a fix, do this one yourself. it works. and it's cheap, and anyone can do oit themselves.

Im going to give the dealer a chance to fix myne before doing Stevil's mod.

Would be great to be able to use the high flow which is a benefit of the stevil method!

Take it back to the dealer they all know about it as there is a note from the Chrysler techs telling dealer techs how to fix it.

It's only a valve on the fill side of the tank that is gummed up and they have to clean it after that you should have no probs.

get the dealer to contact Craig out at Mulgrave Victoria Head Office of C.D.JEEP.
