Default JK: Build up

2007 JK Jeep wrangler

Owner: shane norris
Contact: otmforsure@bigpond.com
Location: grove Tasmania.
Model: jk 2 door sport
Colour: classic jeep green
Year: 2007
Interiour: removed all floor carpet, fitted seat covers, sealed up parts of the floor water was entering, use a iriver mp3 player which plugs straight in to the AUX input or stereo, fitted a speco volts gauge to keep an eye on things.
Exterour: fitted safari snorkel, modified front flares, fitted xenon tube flares to the rear, fitted two light force 140’s to lower point of front bar, two light force 170’s to top of front bar, fitted two light force 140’s to rear bar, fitted a 1 inch body lift to get a little more clearance.
Engine: hemi 3.8L petrol v6 efi, fitted highclyones to intake, k&n high flow panel filter to standard air box which is fed air from the 3.5inch diameter piping from the snorkel, fitted Gibson stainless steel extractors with high flow exhaust, fitted a uni chip ecm with dual stage mapping, it was tunned at uni chip in America and I have to use 98ron fuel with a octane boost (if I have a little more money in wallet)
Suspension: 2.5inch ome rated springs, rancho rs9000x adjustable shocks, racho rs5000 shock for steering dampener, front swaybar disconnects, removed rear swaybar.
Wheels and tyres: 16x8 rock crawler steel rims, 315/75/r16 Mickey Thompson radial baja claws(the difference between the metric and imperial 315/75 and 35/12.5 is a 15mm drop in tyre hight with the metric, which is not much really.
Underbody: standard
Body armour: front rock crawler winch bar with 10,000pound winch, two bar mounted recovery points, rear rock crawler bar with tyre carrier to suit 35’s, warn rock crawler rock slides.

Things to come next month: 4.5inch long arm kit.
Things to have a big think about: Dana 60 front and rear conversion with a 6inch suspension lift with front fox coil over shocks, and external reservoir shocks for the rear, running 38.5 bias ply Mickey Thompson claws. But its going to far, because I am still touring around aus for the next year or two, so I will stick with how it is until then lol ????????maybe.

Most parts supplied by mark at macquire 4x4 and www.4wd.com
