Default Close to pulling the trigger on a Demo WK2, anything I should know / be asking?

Hi Guys,

First visit back after a couple of years without a Jeep (my old XJ )... and Im about to buy a new(ish) WK2.

We've pretty much settled on a 2013 demo at a dealer near us (3.6L, limited) and I just thought Id check in with my old friends to see if there is anything I should know or know to ask?

Ive printed out all the recall notices I could find pertaining to the GC and plan to make them check if all have been carried out before I take delivery but thats all I know so far, are there any other must dos? (ie - get them to flash the..., or install software updates...)

Sorry for the ask instead of searching, Im just in need of a quick catchup as I have been out of the loop for a while, and even before then I only kept up to date the the XJ news

I do remember talk of rear suspension noise in the standard suspension... is that still a thing?

thanks guys,
Ian

My 2014 Limited is making some horrible noises from the rear suspension - booked in to have it looked at under warranty next Monday.

So its a MY2013 demo, as opposed to a MY14 built in 2013?

The MY13 is a 5 speed, and MY14 is an 8 speed.

The 5 speed seems pretty bullet proof, other than one owner on the forum having a failure. The rear suspension clunk seems to have been fixed:

There are more TSBs on that page:

Ok, the one to look out for on the MY14 is the low speed rough gear changes (between 1-2-3). There have been some software updates, and for many it seems to help.

There was also a TSB for cruise control cutting out when pressing the increase/decrease button multiple time and quickly.

I wouldn't be asking for software updates unless the symptoms are present.
