Default Muchisons Ehaust

Hi There, Anyone here have the Murchisons 3" SS exhaust fitted?
I would just like to know what you think of it. More in terms of performance.
Cheers, Ken.

If you pair it with a tune and accidentally leave the DPF out, then you'll achieve a good increase. If you are just going DPF-back, results will be marginal.

I had a custom made 3" stainless system fitted to mine from DPF back...I fitted it for aesthetics mostly to get rid of the resonators at the back and also added 4" outlets. Looked great, sounded good...slight exhaust note as DPF is a damned good muffler.

Performance wise noticed no difference, turbo temps remained the same as did fuel economy.

I thought Murchison's was a bit dear, I had mine done by my exhaust bloke, cost me $1150.00 all done...

if you are looking for performance gains i would spend that money on an ecu tune rather than just an exhaust on it's own

Did you notice any “drone” in the car from the new exhaust?
I’m about to get one made and fitted by my exhaust guy. Murchison Products state that there is no “drone” from their’s but being in WA the cost of the system plus shipping is crazy.

No droning...yes you can hear the exhaust in the background a little more than you could with the resonators on...the DPF is an efficient muffler anyway. My system lost that flex bit and that weight, straight through to the 4" outlets. ..but with the muddies I run I have a bit of other noise going on as well...
