Default For anyone in Sydney who's lifted over 2".

Who did your engineering certificate?

How high is your lift and what kit (if applicable) did you use?

Just about to embark on drag link flip, Currie Rock Jock short arm kit and HD panhards with relocations brackets and braces. Wanted to see if I'm breaking new ground, or if I can go where someone else has bravely gone before......

I'm legal with 315/75/16 and 3.5" Rubicon Express Superflex kit.
Main engineer concerns were
1 Overall lift measurement = tyres plus suspension
2 Brake line extensions etc, the detail work
3 Track increase, max 5" backspacing on 16x8 rims = 65mm increase
4 Speedo recalibrated
5 Front and rear mud flaps
6 Extended flairs
7 Height of headlights less than 1200mm
8 Pay the man

Ask any questions you want and we will help but don't expect us to give up our engineers details to people who have not researched what they are planning.
Your recent quote - "I'm a diesel too, although no idea if it's a different box to the petrol."
I have not done the high steer kit because I am not keen on 3" extended bumpstops.
Cheers

Pro Comp Steel 16x8 5" Backspacing, ended up with +65mm track increase which was ok with the engineer.

Sizes - Bolt Pattern - Offset - Back Spacing - LoadKg - WeightKg
16x8 _ 5x5 (5x127) _ 12mm _ _ _ _ 5" _ _ _ _ 907 _ _ _ 17

Ummm, not sure where you're going with the first comment. I have two auto engineers I've used in the past, but not with Jeeps. One on my Land Rover Bushranger and the other on both our truck fleet and heavily modified wheel chair access vehicles. So I was trying to see if there was an engineer who had a bit more affinity with the Jeep brand and the manufacturers of various lift kits. I wasn't asking for the Colonels 11 secret herbs and spices.

As for the second mention of what I asked about breather kits escapes me? It's not even on this post?

Down to research, I just happen to have a full Currie supension kit here beside me that says I have. And at great length and detail, including the other Bilstein and JKS parts that will complement it.
So I reckon we're good on that front.

If you happen to own a business that employs consulting engineers, then feel free to 'keep' them. Not that fussed. But if you want to help out a fellow owner then that's all I actually asked for.

Just to be clear, in case I wasn't. I am looking to find a consulting automotive engineer on the RTA list who happens to be familiar with Jeep Wranglers. If there aren't any, I'll go back to the bloke who engineered my Rover. Thanks!

Hey mate
If you can get your self down to canberra go see marloc engineering or canberra motorworks. I just had my TJ done and neither had ever work on or engineered anything for a jeep.

Ray at canberra motorworks is certified to do engineering certificates for all states but NSW as he hasnt renewed his licence but is a wealth of knowledge on NSW rules. He did all my mods including steering box relocations custom panard rods, suspension lift etc. He has set the car up amazingly.

Mario at Marloc engineering can do the certificate if you need one, he has the licence required for NSW.

Hope this helps even if it is a fair bit out of sydney..
