Exclamation Acceleration fail!!

Hey guys

My old 97 tj seems to be struggling in the acceleration department. 0-2500RPM it seems to be fine but anything after that the engine seems to roar but not much tack off at all. It won't even rev past 3100RPM in first gear.

Fuel consumption seems to be out the window as well. Am on 31's with an engine out of a 96 xj in her :-S

Any ideas. Thanks in advance

Yols

my exhaust has been rattling for a while now and after doing some reading, if its the cat, it can cause the exhaust to block and cause back preasure hence killing performance.

got a quote for 260 to replace the cat @ right price exhaust. i have no idea really. been searching the forum and people have been talking about cat-back system and struggling to work out the difference.

not sure if i should just replace the lot.

Anywhere good in brisbane, south side
