Default Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Jeep Wrangler

Modern Warfare 3 Jeep Wrangler It looks like Jeep and Activision Publishing are continuing their successful partnership, placing battlefield-ready Wranglers in the Call of Duty video game series and selling a real-life version to gamers who wish to shuttle themselves to and fro in rough-and-tumble off-road-ready opulence.

For those unaware, there's a new version of the video game series heading to store shelves in short order, and Jeep is wasting no time showing its own Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Wrangler to the public.

Interestingly, Jeep decided to bring out its COD 3 Wrangler for the first time at the 2011 Woodward Dream Cruise, sporting all manner of specific gaming paraphernalia; such as new front and rear bumpers (the rear one holds water), mesh reliefs in the hood, flat black wheels with large, blocky tires and large metal emblems.

Expect this latest COD-infused Wrangler to hit the market in the fall, timed to coincide with the release of the affiliated video game. In the meantime, check out some live shots in our image gallery, courtesy of Sidequesting.com.

The most important thing they told us, which they’d learned from the 2011 model year version, is to put more attention to some of the finer details. This includes a bumper redesign in the front that spaces the fog lights further apart, an update hood with several functional mesh grilles relieves, new wheels, and a rear bumper that can be filled with water for “a variety of uses”.

Other details include updated emblems. Where BlOps used flat decals, the MW3 edition uses metallic emblems and badges to showcase its newness. This was all part of an attempt to help not only differentiate from last year’s model, but to also to emphasize the “Modern” part of the game’s name. In the very near future, it seems that sculpted features are more important that slapping basic badging on a car. Smart move, as it’s quite striking as a feature.

The team told us they still have a lot to do before this Fall’s release, including working on the interior elements (the seats and many IP elements were still being designed) and exterior accessories. From what we saw, though, the changes that they’ve made are already looking great.
