Default Another canberra jeep

Gday people just thought i would finally join a forum and introduce myself.
I live in the canberra area and am Usually a dirt bike rider but have bought a 1999 tj wrangler a few months ago and been trying it out a little bit. It is only standard atm but is mostly covered in dirt as it does get used off road. I currently 4wd with one of my mates in a new triton which has had a few mods done. I am loving the jeep tho and enjoy the fact that anywhere my mates triton goes the standard jeep Goes. Im not sure about the club idea as yet but would be interested to meet up with new people and am open to the idea and guess it is a great way to learn new ideas and mods for the vehicle. Due to dirt bike riding tho have aquired a pretty good idea of where to go and get to around act. Keen to do a few other trips and check out other destinations as well tho if poeple are doing these things.

Not sure how theses forums work 100% as yet cause im a newbie to them but will try to improve as i get more used to them.

Thanks Steve seems to have quite a bit of info in the threads and will be looking to upgrade things as money becomes available but back to saving for now. Most of the money is going to fuel currently but am going to change the o2 sensors soon to see if that helps but not expecting it to be hugely economical still. They are thirsty toys that's for sure.

I know all about the O2 sensors, mine failed in the tj about 18 months ago and i had to replace the 4 of them , it made a little diff to the economy, but as i found out the right foot is the best way to keep the economy good!! But sometimes you dont care. If you need to know anything about the O2 sensors let me know.

Steve

Cool thanks appreciate that.
I have searched through the forums and found that NTK 23151 and ntk 23099 are the part numbers i need and rock auto seems to be the go as far as price.
I will have to get underneath it now tho and make sure i have 2 and not for 4 now that you mention it.

Hi Keith

Welcome to the Jeep club! I am 100% sure you will love owning the worlds most modified 4wd. Plan ahead with purpose and you will find that it is not quite a wallet killer to end up with a good looking capable vehicle.

Like goldy9091 said , there is a vast knowledge pool on here to help you along the way.

Keep us posted ......

Thanks Cornelius
Already am happy as with the jeep thinks it the best car I've bought. So simple yet very capable it's great. Have a few minor plans for it but nothing too extreme. Loving how easy it is to work on so far.
Will keep you upto date as changes happen but they will be a little but off as other bills to pay first unfortunately.
