Default Code 0513

Interesting one this morning. Hopped in the car to go to work, started it up and then about 1 second later it just stopped dead with no lights at all on the dash. Moving the key to start then did nothing at all. Removed the key and reinserted and started fine. Checked codes later and there was a 0513 error which is "invalid imobilzer key". Was this just a temporary glitch (hasn't done it since) or a sign of a key battery on the way out perhaps. Anyone had it before?

Had something similar. Occurred several times over a few weeks until finally would not start at all. Ended up being a faulty immobilizer module and cost $$$$ so I hope that's not your issue. Replace battery in key first.

Yep, I have an ongoing problem with this issue as well.
I have found that when turning the key it does not sit in the on position correctly. So, I sometimes have to giggle the key a couple of mls for it to make it seat and complete contact for the jeep to start.
It probably is a short term solution but it works.
