Default 2.7 Air Locker compressor location

Has anyone put a front ARB air locker in a 2.7 CRD? If so, where did they put the air compressor? Cheers.

I,ve got a twin head compressor that is earmarked for the spare tyre well. I picked up a bulkhead fitting from the hydraulic shop so I can seal it through the tyre well wall then screw in an air fitting either side.

I did a bracket more or less in the rear passenger corner of the engine bay just above the ABS for my dual battery controllers and relays. There's a slim change one of those baby ARB compressors might fit there but the engine bay is pretty chockers.

I also put a second amp under the passenger back seat so it may fit there. Height is not great but it might partially tuck into the hole in the floor rail.

If you've ditched the CD player it could possibly go there as well but may get too hot for the compartment if tyre inflating. I originally mocked up a bracket to put my old TJM one in there but it just didn't quite fit. The ARB is smaller than that.

I didn't install it myself, but mine is the baby ARB compressor. It sits on a bracket on the firewall, behind the battery. Sort of in between the aircon pipes. Works well - up nice a dry. Is then easy to splice in power and run the air hose down to the diff.
