Default July rant thread

Happy new (financial) year, and for those in the area, Happy Territory Day! Cracker night! AWESOME, unless you have dogs, or horses, or children, or anything flammable.

I have two upset dogs barking the house BANG down, which stops the WIZZZZZ BOOM children from sleeping, and there are random BOOM firecrackers going off in every direction, and it feels like it is never going to end. I know now why people sit on boats for days in cramped environments to come to Australia.. To get away from the constant explosions overhead and outside their front doors.

I might be lucky enough to have a diagnosis on my trans by Fri COB. Here's hoping anyway. Really want a rough idea on the remaining cost so I can start working out how I am gonna pay for it.

Regards A

Time to break out the violin...............Moving into the backpackers next week............ More or less have no choice. Can't stay where I am any longer. Unfortunately I have worn out my welcome.......... Been here that bit too long..... Hopefully the back packers won't be that bad. It will mean hitching home each Sat morn unless I can get a ride with one of the Mathinna locals. At a guess though I will probably hitch 2-3 weekends and then might be ok for a ride say once a month. Gotta get the dog home somehow too.... And then he will have to get used of being locked up for most of the day in the shed. And sleeping in the minus 5deg temps when I am in town at the back packers... Rant over.......... Do what ya gotta do to survive............. Wish the Jeep was gonna be going a lot sooner but it's gonna be a while yet.........

Regards A

I'm still around but nothing to rant about, at peace with the world, I ignore the idiots so don't read the paper or watch the News as it's full of them.
Best of luck AG, you should have moved to NQ, more weather friendly.

I will get up that way at some stage. Just may not be for 2-3 years. I have a house to build which is due to be started in Sept-Oct 2014. Once I get the walls cladded, roof and all lockable I might think about a big trip. May be around 12 months for me to get the house to that stage. I will probably reassess things once the house is at lock up. I had to go for a personal loan at nearly 14% to get the house started. Banks said no to a house loan as my land will be too hard to sell.

Regards A

Ouch 14% is high! Don't let that get away from you.
