Wj abs light
Any ideas?
Nothing on start up, all good then after five minutes or so ABS amber light comes on, plus the red Parking Brake light comes on too.
I've shook, wiggled and boogied the sensors, still the same. OBDII Scan says nothing is wrong??

Did a quick google and whilst no one with the same problem posted up what it actually was (heaps of them reported) the general concensus seems to be a rear wheel speed sensor.

hi , look at the handbrake switch , see if the copper prong is not near the terminal or hitting the metal of the handbrake. if still, look at the connectors for the speed sensors , clean them look for any damage on the cables running to the speed sensors, after doing , disconnect the battery ( earth first , then the pos) have a cup of coffee then reconnect ( positive first then negative ! , earth should be last to connect due to the metal of the car takes up the surge from battery , positive is a direct line to sensitive modules) if still the same , might be ABS itself and needs a reset , cant remember which wire does that , it was either a black or a brown , but not advised , take to a brake place.

Thanks Dave & Dave,
Not coming to Airly unfortunately. Something else rattled loose, so I've limited drive. The not so fun bit of off roading hey, there's always something.
As I understand it, the speed signal comes off the rear. The speedo is working fine. I had Front L & Front R ABS Sensors a week ago on the OBD but not this time.
Just ordered new front sensors and will give them a go. Failing that, I'll be playing with the ABS box itself. There are a couple of videos on youtube on how to "fix" it.
No point asking US Forums, they just delete it by cutting the bulb off, put a black tape over it, splicing the rear ABS signal for the front or ignore the amber light altogether. Darn it.

Cool. I shall.
I have my suspicions on all the stuff you mentioned but didn't know how to go about it. I'm free today, so looks like that'll be the agenda today. Me and Mrs. Jones..
