Default 2.7 crd blowing black smoke

have my jeep gc 2003 2.7 its billowing grey/black smoke even at idle, i have changed turbo in last 12 months also checked for oil/ shaft play etc everything is ok, i changed injectors 3, 4 & 5 the other day as leak back test showed they needed replacing. i have had scanned & showing codes p0201 ( no.1 cylinder injector circuit), p0202 - (cylinder 2 injector circuit), p0190 - fuel pressure sensor, & p0100 maf sensor (which i have already replaced) to add the wiring on injectors 1 & 2 looks frailed and im thinking of replacing plugs & wiring.

Just make sure the connectors are making decent contact for starters, was it smoky before you changed the injectors ??? or only since then ???? have you ran a leak back test since ???

Have you had the codes cleared to confirm what is actually still current.

Have you investigated the fuel pressure sensor seeing as it has a code showing. Dodgy fuel pressure could be overfueling.

As Drover said when did it start blowing black smoke. What mileage are you showing and why was the turbo replaced.

How is the EGR system, is it functioning correctly. Is it still functioning or has it been disabled. (Disabling is a very good idea)

Have you determined that the MAF wiring is good and that it wasn't actually the old MAF that was at fault. (Refer point one)

You really need to cross these off one by one and the start should be clearing the codes if not done so. Quality of code reader used?????

it was smoking before i had the injectors done it was a little gradually got worse thats why i got injectors leak tested & replaced thinking the problem would be fixed. i will now wait for a fps on monday see if that fixes the smoking as i dont think its the maf sensor unless its the wiring. if it was a fuel pressure regulator which is at back of fuel rail it would throw a code correct ? also the wiring on injectors 1 & 2 is a little frail though if unplugged engine stalls so there is power to them dont know if its uneven. turbo was replaced as old one was over 150,000km on it & got a reco at right price. egr is a new second done months ago, i wouldnt think its the issue its more flooding (running rich), when im on highway after reaching speed and backing off its more responsive & normal self. even when idling blows a greyish smoke goes to black when accelerating. im going to start with fuel pressure sensors & go from there. i dont know what maf code could be though iv tried unplugging it still the same. can the wiring be tested with a multimeter? could also be ecu problem ?

Current or stored, there is a difference. If current then it indicates there is still something wrong with the MAF circuit. Stored refers to older codes stored in memory for reference purposes. Best to have all cleared fully so as to know where to start from. Be clear that you are chasing fresh codes.

The only compatible scan tools for this car are in the several thousand dollar price range unless you can find a cheap used DRBIII as clarky has indicated. This is the factory tool. If your mechanic is not using a high end tool it's hard to guarantee it's working properly on this engine. Many perfectly acceptable scanners that mechanics use on other breeds in their daily operation do not work properly on the 2.7
