Default I must be a fool.

Early this month, EARLY, Josh had his XJ blue slipped.
It needs ball joints.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

With only a two week window, we should've just forked out for the ball joints and got them from wooders or jeeeparts etc.
Didn't want to spend a mint, paying for it in time, now.
I was going to order from Rock Auto. I would have the joints now.

Ordered, online, 4 ball joints for the XJ, through Supercheap. Yes, I know.
Order received on the 9th. June.
Order packed for pickup...........

21st June. !!!
Received a undelivered ticket in the mail box on the 22nd. :sigh: I wasn't home.

Organized a re delivery for the 23rd, gave instructions to leave parcel.

Courier turns up, spends 5 mins. Scrimmaging through the van, jumps back in, and pisses off. FFFFFFUUUUUUUU.

Righto, I say. Dickhead didn't load it.
He'll deliver tomorrow. 24th.

Nup.
Jump on line, track the parcel, IT'S ON IT'S WAY BACK TO BRISBANE. !!!!!!!!!!!!

Eventually, I did apologize to the call center girl. But fark me she learnt something else today.

I received a call back too, letting me know, my parcel should be here Monday.
World War fuckin 3 if it ain't!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been through similar... feel your pain! I always go straight to Rockauto now - ordered new wheel bearing hubs and U-joints for the JK at a quarter the price a few weeks ago. Ordered on Friday night about 5pm, arrived Monday morning 10am! Unbelievable.

I'm hearing your pain. I spent a month without my Rubicon because when the stealership forgot to order a part for my gearbox rebuild. This was after a month wait for ALL the parts to be ordered in the first place. I told them that I would be away and would need the car delivered to my home because I'd fly in late in the evening and then fly overseas the following morning. They happily assisted in this but
Turned out they parked it on the front lawn with the soft top still folded down and the keys in the glovebox 🔫
It then had a new Death wobble problem the following day. Guess I'm lucky it didn't rain or get stolen.

That's actually pretty funny, hey.
It was probably safe as a potential thief wouldn't believe it was left like that with no form of secondary security!

They're kinda like the "MacDonalds" of automotive parts and accessories. I use them because they are "super cheap", but I am rather selective regarding the type of items I purchase from them.
I went into one of this type of store, don't recall which franchise, to buy a conventional oil can once, the thumb pump type.
Enquired at the counter as to where they kept them? The two blokes told me they don't keep them, never have, and no one uses them anymore.
On the way toward the door, I spotted a shelf with about four or five different types.
Yelled back at them, "What the f*@f are these?" and left.
