Thay say you can achieve up to 10 percent with a well designed cold air dam, I'm no expert but I think I'll pass, ...I've had water splash over the windscreen in mass fording deep crossings in the Vic high in both my TJ's, the stock air box has never let me down... so there's that
Disclaimer: I was young and stupid back then and have since seen the error in my ways

It's a valid point and as I understand it there is a lotta math involved in the volume/area = how loud the intake sounds and can add horsepower in the mid-range
"A modern engine with valve overlap will naturally have a dip in the torque at about a third to a half the red line rpm. if the air box is tuned to have minimum resistance to air flow at this rpm, the dip in the torque curve will be partially filled in by the ease of pulling air into the engine." LINK
so that's bad ^ if attention has not been applied with respect to the engineering of theses products to address this and how much of it just gimmicks.

Yep, (2001 33'10's 3" lift) correct - another $200+ rerouting that.

perhaps, but they seem to have accounted for that by not sealing the cold air duct, I can't help but dream about buying it and modding it into the stock airbox like a minny snorkel lmao, truth is, either way, you would reduce your water fording abilities in comparison to the OME airbox,
This looks cool
This is cool ...
Talked out of it but I STILL want more power and I WANT IT YESTERDAY!!
