Unhappy Replacing a Harmonic Balancer

Hey guys,

I've been trying to replace my crankshaft pulley on my KJ, 2004 CRD, But I cant find one anywhere. I find heaps for the petrol 3.7 model, but I can't find any for the diesel?

I know the part number is 05072669aa, but Ive searched for ages online and come up with nothing, always out of stock.

Does anyone have any ideas where I could pick one up?

Cheers

Yeah Members on Lost and Jeepkj are also having problems finding this item for the CRDs.

Only hope is to try the Breaker yards for one in good condition.
Check the Parts Fiches for compatibility between different years although I doubt the part number would have changed.

Am in your position right now, but think that would be about the last choice I would use other than scrapping the car.

Did you find one elsewhere?

You could try asking IDParts if they can get one for you:

https://www.idparts.com/serpentine-b...3f-p-3883.html

You can read about them on the US LOST KJ Forum here:

http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB...hp?f=5&t=72247

You might be able to find a used one from US parts breaker, like these guys:

http://www.2040-parts.com/2005-2006-...pulley-i26555/

It might be easier to find a 2005 CRD part because that is the only year they sold them in the USA, but it might be ok on your model.

Also you could email the UK VM Specialist here:

http://www.vmdieselspecialist.com/vm-spare-parts/
They could probably get it for you from the factory spare stockists in Italy.
