Default Cooling cup holder

I’m probably getting a bit soft, my daughters xtrail has cooling cup holders, has anyone looked at doing something with the cup holders near the gear stick, we have. 2014 Ltd GC

My Colorado had cup holders in front of the air vents on dash, always had cold drinks...

You could modify the a/c cooling duct feeding the outlet in the console for rear passengers, but is it worth it for whats involved, I just use a coldie holder, fit's the larger front holder perfectly.
My little workmate has cup holders directly in front of the centre air vents and when a/c is on works a treat at keeping drinks cool

It did run thru my mind but a lot of stuffing around I thought and condensation around the shifter was a turn off ......... My HiLux workmate is the same, have found bottle with lid is safest, as have had the odd can/coffee launch on a good bump...
