Default tj wheel clarification

Gday all,

Just in need of a little clarification on a 98 tj wheel pcd, diffs and axles are stock. I believe this should translate to a 5 on 4.5 pcd.

I am looking to purchase a set of american racing wheel NEPTUNE mags in a size of 15x7 locally, because the price is at cost and too good to pass up.

The only specs on the net about these if i am right means that in this size they shouldn't fit the wrangler, yet the dealer tells me they will?

Do not want to part with the green and get stuffed around so any help would be greatly appreciated, thanx.[/b]

Thanks for the feedback guys, after some more searching have found the back spacing to be 3.75 which i also believe to be true for the tj but the best match i can find on pcd at 15x7 is 5 on 4.75.

I have very limited experience in this field but common sense would tell me that this just won't match up. Can't physically match them to vehicle until monday morning but don't want to waste anyone's time either, if it's a pointless excercise.

More advice needed please

can you not try one on before you buy them, jack up a corner, rip off a wheel, throw on a rim....etc

I'm with Stu here, rip a wheel off and make sure before any $$$$ changes hands, you're not wasting any ones time. I'm sure the person you're buying off would prefer you to fit the wheels and make sure than be a mad mother becuase you've bought the wrong wheel pattern.

Wheel pattern is 5 in 4.5 and the 3.75 backpsacing would be right for a TJ. Also what tyres you putting on the rims?

Those rims should be alright for 31-33x10.5r15 tyres but no wider really. They will stick out a bit as well. Stock BS for TJ rims is 5.25 so there is a bit of a difference here.
