Default Jeep Going in for 12k Service
Howdy Guys n Gals,

Well my TJ is going in for its 12k / 6 month Service tomorrow morning. Although my Jeep is actually nearly 12 months old but only has done 12,000 km.


So was wondering if I should be looking at anything in particular once I pick it up from them. They must change the oil along with doing a lube on the front end suspension.

Anything else?

My 12000k service is due in 1500k to so i'm keen to know too. Lost my service book!

It should have been serviced at the 6 month point. It is 6months or 12000kms whichever comes first.

Guys I have mine booked in at Robert Gaha Chrysler Jeep in Brookvale. Thats were I bought my Jeep from. Just dropped it off this morning and was told cost will be between $300 - $350....... A little more then I expected however I'm willing to pay that and give them a chance once to fix a few problems as well as the service.

I've decided to take it back to them for the first one or two services to see what they are like (I've taken it back previously and was not happy) but will give them a 2nd chance.


Any future Services will all be done at the ARB Place, the one in St Peters is very very good and really do a full proper service.

12k or 6 months bullsh!T!!! Don't get me started! 6 months is crap!!! If you wanna be sucked in and think you have to pay a service every 6 months go for it. In my book its 12k and thats it!

when asked specifically, my jeep dealer told me 12000kms or 12 months to stay within the warranty - mind you I have always got to each service interval well before 12 (or 6) months.

$300-350 wow not cheap, I will also be taking mine to ARB Southern after the 12K service my mate said it normally round $100 for a minor service (but they are very thorough)
