Default Lamington Nat. Park - Duck Creek Road

Hey All. This Sunday i'm planning a trip with a few friends to Lamington National Park. Intent is mainly to walk the tracks, but from what I've read on the EPA site - there is a good 4WD track in the Green Mountains section of the park. Has anyone done this track, and any recommendations/advice? For example, is it an easy track/hard track? Any spots to look out for or be careful of?

Thanks guys.

Yeah I checked. Got the map, but that's about it. A squiggly black line saying Duck creek road (4wd only). Hence why I'd like to see if anyone has driven it before!!

Driven it many many times over the past 15 years, usually either going to or coming home from O'Reilly's.

Not a difficult track (I used to do it in my old Datsun and Falcon)..... BUT with all the rain we've had lately it may be a little more challenging. Infact I wouldn't be surprised if it was temporarily closed due to the weather..

Ok cool, thanks for that. I've been trying to ring the park rangers to get an status update (if it's closed or not), but no ones answering. I'll keep trying.

Yeah, it's a good, easy, fun little road, that has some great views and goes through some nice scenery. The Lions club maintain it, and you pay a donation of a couple of bucks to go on it. Check with the Beaudesert Shire Council to see if it's open.
Have fun,
M.
