Had a big day in the workshop today fitting a few bits i've had laying around for too long.
Started at 10.30 this morning after taking the little bloke for swimming lessons, finished up at 5.00 this arvo. Very pleased with the days accomplishments.
ARB winch bar, 9,000lb Premier winch, IPF 9000xs spots, and GME TX3440. I was hoping for a straight forward install but this was not the case.
You may hear people say that the Premier winch is a little wider than a Warn. They are not talking about the width across the vehicle but the width of the mounting area from top to bottom. These winches do not fit straight into an ARB bar. I had to make 6mm spacers and put a 3mm schampfer on the bottom edge of the winch mount. Then needed longer bolts, etc, etc.
The front of the KJ dropped around 12-15mm with OME HD 790 front coils, so I will now fit the strut plates I've had in the shed to bring it back up.
Going out tomorrow to give the winch a test run. Dragged a car across the workshop to check it was working today. Let you know how it goes.
Need to get some slim line plates now aswell.
