Default Magnum 9k winch on Mopar front bar?

Hi all,

Anyone have this set up or know if it fits/ issues to be aware of? Warns fit the bar but the magnum is much better value.

cheers,

I'd like to know too. The guy at ARB implied that the Magnum would fit their bar, I assumed that would apply to the Mopar one as well (since that's the one I'm planning to install).

I have the Magnum on the Warn Bar - The Magnum is made by Warn - it's their entry level winch - so the mountings will most likely be identical

Cheers - John

look up the websites for the manufacturers of winches and see what their mounting bolt patterns are... all the same.

10" x 4.5" (254mm x 114.3mm)

even the biggest winches Warn make like the M15000 and a 16.5ti have the same pattern as a Tabor/Magnum 9k

other manufacturers use the same pattern too (I picked these randomly from a google search)

Hi all,

I think you are right that the mounting bolts are ok as they have the same stud pattern. What i'm wondering though is the control box and motor housing. As the mopar bar has a top loop on it the control box is probably going to need relocating to the motor housing. For that to happen the motor housing needs rotating so the control box can bolt onto it. There are fixings for it so that isn't a problem. The issue seems to be by rotating the motor housing roughly 180 degrees does it has enough clearance underneath due to some protruding nuts?

hope that makes sense?

The only think I would question re the Warn Magnum winch, is the clutch lever.

As the clutch lever is not as large as the Warn XD9000, I have to wonder how easy it is to use when covered in Mud/Water etc.

However, ARB says it is not a problem.

the control box isnt attached to the winch, its loose.

you will need to find your own way to attach it to the winch, or buy a separate bracket to attach it to the winch.

no need to rotate the motor, just mount it behind the winch if you think its an issue (which i dont really think it will be if you look at these winches on the same bar)
