Default Help needed to change idle tensioner

Hi all,

On my 2006 Jeep Cherokee KJ with 175K Km, I was planning on changing the idle tensioner and some of the idler pulleys (new alternator fitted 2 years ago).

Was going to wait until the 250K timing belt service but the tensioner is making a lot of noise, so I thought I'd get it done ASAP before I head off for holidays at the end of the month.

Anyone in Brisbane interested helping out (I have all the parts including tensioner, idle pulleys and serpentine belt).

I would pay for your time and I am on the north side (I assume should take no more than 2 hours). Alternatively feel free to recommend a good mechanic in the north Brisbane.

I’d be happy to help out, depends on the day/time you have in mind, can bring tools and manuals if you need them too.

Doug.

Sure, I'm on the northside Brissy at Nundah. I've changed the tensioner on a V6 petrol , not the CRD, I think the big thing is the radiator cowling, but can't remember.

In return I can also help with getting started with a DIY ECU remap on the 2.8L Deisel that will help disabling the EGR. I have the hardware and software. There are free tunes available on Lostjeeps and a guide on how to do it.
