Default Aftermarket Fuel Pump

Hi all, i currently have a situation with my fuel pump. aka its phuked!
is anyone running an aftermarket fuel pump or what other solutions have people done. ive done some thread digging and all i could find was this (http://www.ausjeepoffroad.com/forum/...ight=Fuel+Pump)

I'm a little more interested in aftermarket pumps that can push 24pound injectors..

Replace it with a stocker and set up a surge and bosch 044 if you are serious about never having fueling issues.

I remember a thread somewhere on this site where there was mention of a replacement bosch fuel pump but I don't recall seeing the part number.

I have replaced my pump with a genuine one and you are right - NOT CHEAP!!
Good luck with finding a replacement one, if you do can you post up the part no?

cheers

Bosch Fuel Pump P/No. 10229

i havent looking into it much but he said (muppoTJ) that he achieved way better fuel economy because the stock pump over fuels the car by so much.

The ecu and the injectors control how much fuel goes into the motor, the unused fuel should return to the tank or surge tank if you fit one so it shouldnt make a difference to economy.

Default Fuel Pump

Any aust. car parts place that deals with this wholesaler -> http://www.afi-australia.com.au/ ... or similiar wholesaler can sell you a direct replacement pump.

It may not have the correct sock filter tho.

Remove the original pump from the overpriced sender unit/fuel pump assy and take it in for a match. I ordered two TJ ones over the phone from out in the boonies from AFI and got the right ones .... The pump itself is just a nippondenso or mitsubushi product ... nothing special about it.

O-rings and the large fuel tank seal probably should be on the replacement list too as they would have some age about them.

Go gentle with the plastic locking ring on the tank as they get brittle and break easy.
