Default WJ/G Seat Adjustment

The drivers chair on my CRD is making horrible noises, will move forward and backwards but up and down it growls, even when my bum is not on it.

I assume that there is some little plastic cog that has chucked some teeth, so has anyone been down this path before ??? or do I trial and error the fix ??
Damn parts book is not any help and don't want to swap bits from the pax side if I can help it, pulling one seat out is enough.

Drover. mine does it when I want to adjust the back support. I have to help it along. I tried to open the seat components year ago but found it impossible as it's all sealed and not really workable. So I just set it as I need and avoid adjusting it.

Pull the seat out and give it a good lube job. It's been a while since I had mine out to fix something but from memory there wasn't a lot of plastic in any of the gears.

Yep ,some plastic teeth will be broken off , solved the problem on mine by swaping the 2 of the 3 motors from the drivers seat to the passenger seat and vise versa , fixed the now non adjustable height wise passenger seat at the height the beloved likes ,
